Brussels Comic Strip Museum
Attendance to this function is included in the registration fee

All registered delegates, accompanying persons, and sponsors are cordially invited to a Monday evening reception at the Brussels Comic Strip Museum.

The museum is situated in the beautiful Art Nouveau setting of the Waucquez Warehouses. These warehouses are considered to be one of the masterpieces of the most famous Belgian Art Nouveau architect, Victor HORTA. Horta built the house in 1906 for the Waucquez family, who used it for a wholesale cloth business. The building beautifully displays the principles of Horta's architectural style: sunlight filters from the glass ceiling into the central hall, thereby illuminating the rest of the warehouse in a natural way. At the same time, this beautiful museum illustrates this "9th art of Belgium" – the Comic Strip Art, with sets of enlarged drawings, three-dimensional recreations, etc. One can also learn everything about the birth and the development of a comic strip album. Drinks and appetisers will be served. The venue is located at walking distance from the Crowne Plaza Brussels - Le Palace.

Located in the prestigious old Belgian National Telephone Company building, it is one of the famous architect’s Michel Polak latest achievements dating back to 1935. The architect is also known for designing Le Plaza Hotel, Villa Empain and Résidence Palace in Brussels. The venue, hidden by an Art Déco façade, is rough and refined at the same time. The industrial architecture inside is well balanced with the outside spaces and inner gardens.
